Every rental includes radios programmed and ready to use, along with chargers and any accessories you need. No setup on your end, no FCC licensing to manage, no programming to figure out. You pick up the equipment and your team starts communicating.
For events, we build channel plans specific to your venue layout before delivery. Security, production, medical, and operations teams each get their own channels, labeled and programmed before the radios arrive. For construction and industrial projects, you get commercial-grade equipment with actual range and durability, not the consumer walkie-talkies available at a big-box store. Multi-site projects get repeater rentals to extend coverage across the full work zone. Emergency rentals ship same-day from the nearest VEI location to your site.

Commercial-Grade Equipment
VEI rental inventory is Kenwood commercial two-way radios, not consumer walkie-talkies. Commercial radios operate on licensed frequencies with real range, weatherproof housings rated for jobsite conditions, and battery life measured in full shifts rather than hours. The difference between a commercial rental and a big-box store walkie-talkie is significant when your team depends on the communication.
Pre-Programmed for Your Operation
Every rental ships programmed with the channel plan for your specific application. Event rentals get venue-specific plans with security, production, and medical on separate channels, all labeled. Construction rentals get site-specific channels. You do not receive blank radios and a programming manual.
Repeater Rentals
For large venues, multi-building campuses, or construction sites that exceed portable radio range, we provide repeater rentals that extend coverage across the entire area. The repeater installs in 30 minutes and gives your rental radios the range of a permanent radio system for the duration of your project.
Same-Day Emergency Rental

Seven Pickup Locations
Pick up rental equipment from any of seven VEI locations across Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, and South Carolina. For large deployments, we can deliver directly to your site. Return the equipment to any VEI location when your project ends, not necessarily the same location where you picked it up.
Support During Your Rental
If a rental radio malfunctions during your event or project, call us. We replace defective units quickly and provide technical support for the duration of the rental period. Events and emergency deployments are not situations where you troubleshoot equipment problems on your own.
