Digital holds full audio clarity right to the edge of coverage, where analog fades into static. It also fits roughly twice the talk paths on the same channel, and adds text messaging, GPS location, individual calling, and encryption. If your radios are past ten years old, or you are adding people to a channel that is already busy, digital is usually the answer. We test coverage on your actual sites before recommending either one.

Almost certainly. Any business operating on dedicated radio frequencies needs one, and running without it carries fines up to $100,000 per violation. A license lasts ten years. The exceptions are low-power FRS radios and cellular push-to-talk, and neither gives you the range or reliability of licensed equipment. We handle the frequency search, coordination, filing, and renewals.

P25 is the digital radio standard built so public safety agencies from different departments and jurisdictions can talk to each other on a shared response. It covers encryption, interoperability, and the audio quality that mission-critical work demands. Police, fire, and EMS almost always need it. Most commercial operations do not, and DMR or NXDN will cost less and do the job. We build P25 Phase 1 and Phase 2 systems, and we will tell you if yours is not a P25 problem.

Depends on the job, which is why we carry both and six other brands. Kenwood's NX line covers the widest span of commercial and public safety needs, and it is where most of our customers land. Tait earns its place where multi-band flexibility and hard field use matter most. A single-brand dealer recommends what they stock. We would rather match the radio to the work.

A handful of portables programmed and delivered can be the same week. A vehicle fleet runs a few days, depending on unit count and whether we come to you. A full system with repeaters and licensing takes longer, because FCC frequency coordination sets that pace and we do not control it. You get a real date after the site survey, not a guess before it.

Further than any spec sheet will tell you honestly. Terrain, buildings, antenna height, and power decide range far more than the radio does. Handheld to handheld across open ground might be two miles. The same pair inside a steel-frame building might be a few hundred feet. A repeater on the right site turns that into county-wide coverage. We drive-test your sites and map the real signal margins instead of quoting a number.

Yes. Rentals cover festivals, construction projects, temporary operations, and emergency deployments. A three-day event has no business buying a fleet and filing for its own license, and a six-month project does not need a ten-year depreciation schedule. Radios arrive programmed and charged. Tell us the dates, the site, and how many people need to talk.

VHF carries further over open ground, which makes it right for farms, highways, marine work, and wide flat terrain. UHF pushes through concrete and steel far better, so it wins indoors, on campuses, and anywhere buildings sit between your people. Choosing wrong is the most common and most expensive mistake we see. If your team works both, multi-band radios handle it.

Often, yes. It comes down to brand, age, condition, and whether the equipment still holds resale value. Send us the model numbers and we will tell you what they are worth against new gear before you commit to anything. If they are worth nothing, you will hear that too, rather than a quote padded with credit that is not really there.
