One-Way Signal Booster
The Unication B1-S-A01 is a receive-only in-building signal booster that amplifies pager signals across VHF, UHF, and 700/800 MHz public safety bands without requiring FCC booster licensing. It delivers up to 78 dB of gain with 30 dB of automatic gain control, supports all G-series pagers, and installs without technical expertise.

Overview
The Unication B1-S-A01 One-Way Signal Booster is a receive-only in-building amplifier that improves paging and voice reception for Unication G-series pagers in structures with poor RF penetration. It covers VHF, UHF, and 700/800 MHz public safety bands in a single unit, making it compatible with every G-series pager VEI sells regardless of the agency's frequency band. Support for Analog 2-Tone, P25 Conventional, and P25 Trunking means it works on both legacy and modern dispatch systems without separate units for each system type.
The booster delivers 78 dB of gain on the high setting and 60 dB on the low setting, with 30 dB of automatic gain control range and a noise figure under 4 dB for clean signal amplification. An exterior directional antenna points toward the tower while an interior antenna distributes the amplified signal inside the building. Coverage can be extended using an optional antenna splitter and additional interior antennas to serve larger structures or multi-room layouts. The unit is AC powered with a minimal footprint.
Because the B1-S-A01 amplifies receive signals only and does not transmit, it is not classified as a bi-directional amplifier under FCC rules, and no booster license is required for installation. Departments can purchase and install the unit themselves without regulatory coordination or site-specific FCC approval. This makes it an accessible, low-friction solution for fire stations, sub-grade apparatus bays, warehouses, and any structure where pager reception is a recurring problem.
Key Features
VHF, UHF, and 700/800 MHz Coverage
Boosts all three public safety paging band groups in a single unit, compatible with every Unication G-series pager. Works on Analog 2-Tone, P25 Conventional, and P25 Trunking systems without separate units for each system type.
78 dB High Gain with 30 dB AGC
High gain setting delivers 78 dB of amplification and low gain provides 60 dB, with 30 dB of automatic gain control range to adapt to varying signal conditions. Noise figure is under 4 dB for clean signal quality at the pager.
No FCC License Required
Receive-only operation means the booster is not classified as a bi-directional amplifier under FCC rules. No booster license or regulatory coordination is required, allowing departments to purchase and install without any approval process.
User-Installable and Expandable
Designed for user installation without technical expertise using a directional exterior antenna and an interior distribution antenna. Optional splitter and additional interior antennas extend coverage to larger structures or multiple rooms.
