Overview
Public safety agencies running P25 often end up with a patchwork of VHF, UHF, and 700/800 MHz mobiles bought across different budget cycles and different vendors, each with its own accessories and quirks. Standardizing a fleet across those bands usually means retraining dispatch on multiple radio platforms, and adding P25 trunking later can mean a forklift replacement instead of a simple upgrade.
The IC-F7510 covers VHF (136-174 MHz), the IC-F7520 covers UHF (380-470 and 450-512 MHz), and the IC-F7540 covers 700/800 MHz, all built on the same 1024-channel, 128-zone platform with conventional P25 analog fallback. Output runs up to 50 W on the IC-F7510, 45 W on the IC-F7520, and 30 W to 35 W on the IC-F7540 depending on sub-band. P25 Phase 1 and Phase 2 trunking, AES encryption, and packet data service are available as upgrade keys, and every model ships with a color day/night LCD, built-in Bluetooth for wireless headsets and programming, and a microSD slot that logs up to 500 hours of call audio.
The chassis is tested to MIL-STD-810G, with equivalent coverage to -C, -D, -E, and -F, and rated IP55 for dust protection and water jet resistance, running from -30 deg C to +60 deg C (-22 deg F to +140 deg F). At 1500 g (3.3 lb) and 174 x 55 x 150 mm, it mounts with RMK-5 or RMK-7 separation kits and pairs with the CommandMic and detached controller heads for double-cab vehicles, a fit for police, fire, EMS, and other municipal fleets standardizing on P25.

Tri-Band P25 Platform
The IC-F7510 runs VHF (136-174 MHz), the IC-F7520 runs UHF (380-470 and 450-512 MHz), and the IC-F7540 runs 700/800 MHz, all sharing the same 1024-channel, 128-zone architecture. Conventional P25 analog fallback keeps the fleet on the air even when a digital trunked system is down.
P25 Phase 1 and Phase 2 Trunking
P25 Phase 1 and Phase 2 trunking, AES encryption, and packet data service are available as field upgrade keys, so an agency can add capability as budgets allow instead of buying it all up front. A P25 Advanced System Owner Key and Accessory Advanced System Key round out the trunking options.
MIL-STD-810G and IP55 Rated
The chassis is tested to MIL-STD-810G, with equivalent coverage to -C, -D, -E, and -F, and rated IP55 for dust protection and water jet resistance. It runs from -30 deg C to +60 deg C without derating.
Built-In Bluetooth
A built-in Bluetooth unit connects to an optional Bluetooth headset or third-party wireless headsets like the 3M Peltor WS 5, with VOX for hands-free operation. Radio programming can also be done wirelessly over Bluetooth.
microSD Voice and Data Logging
A microSD card slot, up to 32 GB, records incoming and outgoing calls in WAV format, embedding User IDs, GPS position, and frequency, with up to 500 hours of storage available. The same slot stores GPS logs, memory channel settings, and firmware files.
Color Day/Night Display
A high-resolution color LCD switches between day and night modes for visibility in any lighting, with menus configurable in English, French, Spanish, Russian, and Traditional Chinese. Large function buttons and a four-direction pad keep controls easy to find at a glance.
