Overview
Public safety agencies moving to P25 need certified interoperability with the systems around them, but many P25 portables are bulky, power-hungry, and slow to reprogram across mixed VHF, UHF, and 700/800 MHz fleets. Agencies also need radios that survive daily drops, rain, and dust without adding weight to an already loaded duty belt.
The IC-F7010 answers with DHS CAP certified P25 conventional and trunking, Phase 1 and Phase 2, built on Icom's custom SoC, which shrinks the chassis to 38.2 mm deep while cutting power draw enough to run the thinner BP-284 battery pack. It covers 1,024 channels across 128 zones with 5W/2W/1W selectable output, a high-resolution color LCD with day and night modes, and a 16-position rotary channel selector with Quick A/B switch for fast bank changes. Built-in GPS and Bluetooth round out the set, with UHF (IC-F7020) and 700/800 MHz (IC-F7040) versions sharing the same feature set on different bands.
At 355 grams and 53.6 x 123.5 x 38.2 mm, the IC-F7010 is built to MIL-STD-810 G, tested for low pressure, high and low temperature, temperature shock, solar radiation, vibration, and shock, and rated IP68 for dust-tight, waterproof protection. It runs from -30 deg C to +60 deg C (-22 deg F to +140 deg F) and adds Man Down, Lone Worker, Stationary Detection, Motion Detection, and an Emergency Button that transmits an emergency call automatically. A 1300 mW internal speaker keeps calls audible for law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies that need certified P25 interoperability in a radio light enough to carry all shift.

IP68 & MIL-STD-810 G Rugged
Rated IP68 for dust-tight, waterproof protection, the radio is also tested to MIL-STD-810 G across low pressure, high and low temperature, temperature shock, solar radiation, vibration, and shock. It operates from -30 deg C to +60 deg C (-22 deg F to +140 deg F).
Built-In GPS Tracking
A built-in GPS module feeds a dedicated position screen on the radio, so dispatch and command staff always know where a unit is operating.
Bluetooth Wireless Connectivity
The built-in Bluetooth unit connects wireless headsets, including third-party models, with VOX for hands-free transmission. Radio programming can also be pushed over Bluetooth without a cable.
Emergency Safety Suite
Man Down, Lone Worker, Stationary Detection, and Motion Detection automatically trigger Emergency mode, and a dedicated Emergency Button transmits an emergency call once or repeatedly at the press of a button.
