Overview

The IC-F5130D (VHF) and IC-F6130D (UHF) mobile radios run IDAS digital and analog FM side by side, so a fleet migrates channel by channel instead of all at once. Output is rated 50 W on VHF and 45 W on UHF, with 25 W medium and low-power settings, across 128 channels and 8 zones. IDAS adds NXDN Type-D single-site trunking and multi-site conventional operation over an IP network, with individual, group, and all call plus Over-the-Air Alias caller ID. GPS position display and Auto-Timed GPS send keep dispatch aware of vehicle location, while Lone Worker, Power ON Password, and Digital Voice Scrambler protect the operator and confidential traffic.
Built to MIL-STD-810 G for shock, vibration, and temperature extremes, the radio runs from -30°C to +60°C (-22°F to +140°F) and weighs 1.23 kg (2.7 lb) in a 150 x 45 x 151.8 mm chassis. A high contrast, wide viewing angle black background LCD with an eight character alphanumeric display stays readable in daylight, and the 4 W front mounted speaker cuts through engine and shop noise. It fits utility, transit, delivery, and public works fleets running mixed analog and digital sites, bridged where needed by Icom's VE-PG4 RoIP gateway.

Dual-Mode Digital and Analog
The IC-F5130D/F6130D series supports Analog FM, IDAS digital multi-site conventional mode, and IDAS digital single-site trunking mode on one radio. Migrate channels from analog to digital on your own schedule instead of a forced fleet-wide cutover.
NXDN Trunking and IP Networking
NXDN Type-D single-site trunking and multi-site conventional operation run over an IP network for wide-area coverage. Icom's VE-PG4 RoIP gateway can bridge this radio to other radio systems, even across different bands.
GPS Position Reporting
GPS position display and Auto-Timed GPS send keep dispatch updated on vehicle location through an optional ACC cable, with an external GPS receiver required. The same ACC interface also passes barcode and telemetry data over the air.
Lone Worker and Radio Security
Lone Worker sounds an alert and, if the operator does not respond, can force a transmission to check on their status. Power ON Password and Digital Voice Scrambler protect confidential traffic, and radio Kill, Stun, and Revive let dispatch secure a lost or stolen unit.
