Budget-conscious fleets in education, agriculture, and distribution don't need a radio loaded with digital trunking or encryption they'll never use. What they need is dependable push-to-talk that survives a drop off a tailgate, cuts through warehouse and engine noise, and plugs into signaling systems, MDC 1200, 2-Tone, 5-Tone, they already run. The IC-F5011 (VHF, 136-174 MHz) and IC-F6011 (UHF, 400-470 and 450-512 MHz) keep it simple: 8 channels, 12.5/15 kHz spacing on VHF and 12.5 kHz on UHF, and P0-P3 programmable buttons to fit each operator's workflow. RF output steps down in three tiers, 50W/25W/5W on the F5011 and 45W/25W/4.5W on the F6011, and the signaling suite covers 2-Tone (up to ten codes per channel), 5-Tone (up to eight codes), MDC 1200 for PTT ID, emergency alerts, radio check, stun, and revive, plus CTCSS and DTCS for quiet stand-by. Priority scan covers one or two priority channels while scanning the rest, backed by a 4-watt front-mounted speaker.
At 1.1 kg (2.4 lb) and 150 x 40 x 167.5 mm, the F5011 series is MIL-STD 810G tested for temperature, humidity, vibration, and shock, so it holds up on a delivery truck or a tractor dash. An optional ACC cable (OPC-1939 or OPC-2078) adds remote channel control, horn honk, and external audio I/O, and an optional DTMF microphone, power-on password, and lockout penalty timer round out the access-control options. Dual-Band Coverage
The IC-F5011 covers VHF from 136 to 174 MHz, and the IC-F6011 covers UHF from 400 to 470 MHz and 450 to 512 MHz. Both models share the same 8-channel layout and P0-P3 programmable buttons, so switching bands doesn't mean relearning the radio.
Three-Tier RF Output
The F5011 delivers 50W, 25W, or 5W (Hi, L2, L1), and the F6011 delivers 45W, 25W, or 4.5W, so operators can match power to range and battery drain. Transmit current draw on high runs 10A on the F5011 and 11A on the F6011.
Built-In Signaling Suite
2-Tone, 5-Tone, MDC 1200, CTCSS, and DTCS come standard for setting up talk groups and quiet stand-by. Up to ten 2-Tone or eight 5-Tone codes can be decoded on a single channel, with stun, kill, revive, answer back, and auto TX all programmable per tone.
MDC 1200 Fleet Integration
Built-in MDC 1200 transmits PTT ID and emergency signals and receives radio check, stun, and revive commands, so the F5011 series drops into an existing MDC 1200 fleet without extra hardware. Priority scan also covers one or two priority channels while scanning the rest.
Rugged MIL-STD 810G Build
The F5011 series is tested to MIL-STD 810G for temperature, humidity, vibration, and shock, with equivalent testing to MIL-STD 810 C, D, and E. At 1.1 kg (2.4 lb) and 150 x 40 x 167.5 mm, it's built to survive a work truck or warehouse floor.
Remote Accessory Control
An optional ACC cable, OPC-1939 (15-pin) or OPC-2078 (25-pin), connects external devices for audio output, remote channel control, and horn honk. Standard power-on password, time-out timer, and lockout penalty timer functions round out access control.
